Shopping foreign tourists to Japan as the top priority
Japan international tourist promotion organization recently released survey results show that foreigners traveling to Japan is no longer the main purpose of sightseeing roll, but shopping.
The 2006 foreign tourists to target investigations show that about 35% of the visitors to Japan’s main purpose is "shopping" choice "experience traditional culture, visits to historical facilities" and "OK, relax," the two were 32%.
Japan international tourist promotion organization from the beginning of the survey in 2003, this year, "shopping" the first time become the target of choice for visitors to Japan.
The agency said Asian tourists increase in income, the depreciation of the yen and other factors to stimulate the tourists to the shopping, a growing number of Japanese domestic commercial facilities further promote this trend.
The survey also revealed that the first number of tourists to Japan-based sightseeing, tourists will once again come to focus on the purchase of appliances and clothing.
