Women white collars in Shanghai reluctant to cook

Chinanews, Shanghai, Oct. 18 – A
latest survey launched by Shanghai Jiaotong University revealed that women white
collars in Shanghai are more reluctant to do the cooking than those in Beijing
and Guangzhou.

White collars aged between 25 and 40 participated in the survey. In
Shanghai, women prefer to eat out, while in Beijing and Guangzhou, nearly half
of women white collars cook at home.

The survey also shows that only 39% of Shanghai women white collars enjoy
cooking, and this number in Beijing and Guangzhou is both 60%. Cai Meiqin, a
professor at Shanghai Jiaotong University, said that Shanghai women thought
cooking was complicated, and disliked smoke in kitchens.
