Wuqiao Int'l Acrobatics Festival to open

Chinanews, Beijing, Oct 15 – Wuqiao International Acrobatics Festival, a first-class arobatics festival held in China once every two years, will mark its 20th anniversary this year. Acrobatic troupes from 16 countries and regions will attend this years's festival.

The eleventh Wuqiao International Acrobatics Festival will be held in Shijiazhuang, capital city of Hebei Province, from October 27 to November 4, under the joint auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Hebei provincial government.

With twenty years of development, Wuqiao International Acrobatics Festival has become one of the three major acrobatics festivals in the world. The Golden Lion Award presented by the festival has also become one of the most distinguished awards in the world’s acrobatic field. So far, more than 400 acrobatic programs from 40 countries and regions in the world have been displayed in the festival of various periods.

About 31 acrobatic programs will be displayed this year, the most in history, by acrobatic troupes from 16 countries and regions, including Russia, North Korea, Canada, the United States, France, and Germany.
