Beijing to invest 2 bln yuan on quadrangles

Chinanews, Beijing, Oct. 17 – Liu Qi, Beijing’s Party Chief and delegate to the ongoing session of the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, said on Monday that Beijing will invest 2 billion yuan on renovating its Siheyuan (quadrangles or courtyard houses). He also said that the government will help poor people to gain access to apartment houses. Liu said that it is crucial to solve the current problem of high housing price.
